主講人簡(jiǎn)介：宛圓淵，多倫多大學(xué)經(jīng)濟(jì)系的副教授。他的研究興趣包括因果推斷、結(jié)構(gòu)計(jì)量經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、部分識(shí)別理論以及準(zhǔn)貝葉斯推斷。近期，他致力于為多種因果推斷框架（包括斷點(diǎn)回歸、局部和 邊際處置效應(yīng)等）設(shè)計(jì)嚴(yán)格的模型設(shè)定檢驗(yàn)條件。他的研究成果發(fā)表在 Journal of Econometrics、Review of Economics and Statistics、Econometric Theory、Quantitative Economics 和 Journal of Business and Economic Statistics (JBES) 等學(xué)術(shù)期刊上。目前，他擔(dān)任JBES 和 Econometric Reviews 的 Associate Editor。
講座摘要：In this paper, we propose a sharp test to assess the validity of the exclusion and monotonicity assumption in judge leniency designs. Our sharp test exploits all the relevant information in the observed data distribution to refute the model and will not make discordant recommendations. When the validity of the design is rejected, we show that a variant of the marginal treatment effect (MTE) can be identified under weaker partial monotonicity and partial exclusion assumptions.
